The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the U.S. 52 eastbound ramp to I-65 southbound will close Monday, March 22 and Tuesday, March 23 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning. This is for the contractor to strengthen the shoulder in this area on I-65.
E&B Paving LLC was awarded the $83.7 million contract to add one lane in each direction on I-65 from north of S.R. 32 to S.R. 47. Construction is expected to continue until late 2021, weather dependent. The speed limit through the project area is reduced to 55 mph during the day and 45 mph overnight. Work is expected to resume in March 2022 and be complete by November 2022.
