Veterans from Auburn and surrounding communities will have an opportunity to learn more about benefits, health care and other resources available to them during an upcoming Veteran Benefit Fair hosted by the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System.
The event will take place Saturday, August 22, from 8 a.m. to noon at American Legion Post 97, 1729 Sprott St., Auburn.
Veterans can meet with representatives from the VA and local community organizations to ask questions and learn more about programs and services they may qualify for.
Information will be available on a variety of topics, including:
- Health care benefits
- Service-connected disabilities
- VA compensation
- Educational benefits
- State VA benefits
- Burial benefits
- Homeless support
- Health screenings
- Honor Flight
Representatives will be on-site to answer questions and help veterans better understand the resources available to them.
Veterans are encouraged to register in advance through Eventbrite to reserve a time slot. Organizers note that space is limited.
