The Whitestown Fire Department hosted its 2024 Awards Banquet to celebrate the department’s outstanding year of service to the town of Whitestown and surrounding areas in need of assistance.
During the banquet, the department’s firefighters gathered to recognize the exceptional dedication and hard work of their peers, and this year marked the department’s busies year to date.
The department recognized the following award recipients who were chosen by their fellow firefighters:
- Ur Allen Rookie of the Year: Sam Sodrel
- Greg Bedell EMS Provider of the Year: Chris Combs
- Firefighter of the Year: Drake Holtz
- John Hancock Leadership Award: Nathan Joseph
The department announced that Nathan Joseph won the Whitestown Firefighters Local 5195 raffle as well.
“Congratulations to all award and unit commendation recipients,” the department released. “We’re extremely proud of our entire team and look forward to an exciting 2025.”
