The Whitestown Fire Department paramedics recently participated in a recertification class to continue the work being offered to the community by the first responders.
Whitestown Fire Department paramedics successfully completed their recertification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, which enables the team to provide expert care for infants, children and adolescents in emergency situations.
The program focuses on recognition and treatment of pediatric respiratory emergencies, management of pediatric cardiac arrest and pediatric shock and trauma care.
“Our paramedics’ commitment to ongoing education ensures the community receives the best possible emergency care,” the department released.
