Whitestown Police Host Christmas Spree With WMPD This Winter; Donations Accepted Through Tomorrow, Dec. 5

The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department has announced its hosting of the Christmas Spree with WMPD where local families in need will receive the means to partake in a shopping spree with police officers.

The department has requested for community members to consider dropping off a Meijer gift card at the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department headquarters at 6208 Veterans Drive in Whitestown on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or the Whitestown Municipal Complex at 6210 Veterans Drive in Whitestown on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help support community members in need during the holiday season. Donations must be delivered by tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 5.

Due to funding limitations, the need of families and a first-come, first-served basis, only a limited number of applications will be accepted. Applications must be submitted by this Saturday, Nov. 30 to be considered for the program.

“This is an opportunity for our community to give back to their fellow residents in need,” the department released. “Our main goal is to help as many Whitestown families as possible. The families selected will send a representative to shop with a WMPD officer at Meijer for their family’s needs.”
