Whitestown Police Receive $10,000 Toward Acquisition Of New Therapy Dog

The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department announced its receipt of a $10,000 donation from Coca-Cola Incorporated that is expected to be utilized to continue the department’s mission to acquire a therapy dog.

At the end of last week, Coca-Cola donated $10,000 toward the Whitestown Police initiative to add a therapy dog to the department. The initiative was sparked by the Wellness Team, who have been diligently raising funds for the project over the past year with an aim of welcoming the new furry member of the department in early 2025.

“This therapy dog will be used to assist community members in crises that we encounter in our daily interactions, as well as to support our officers’ mental wellness daily,” the department released. “We are very grateful for Coca-Cola Consolidated’s continued support of WMPD.”

Prospective donors may also contact the department at [email protected] for more information.
