William “Bill” Lee McCoy, 86, of rural Frankfort, passed away February 21, 2026 at Mulberry Health. He was born July 3, 1939 in Carroll County, Indiana to Herschel Galen & June Elizabeth (Hill) McCoy. He married Pauline Mae Decker on November 24, 1976 and she survives.
Bill was a 1957 graduate of Frankfort High School. He had worked at Chrysler for 33 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Local 685 Union, Eagles Lodge and VFW Auxiliary. Bill enjoyed racoon hunting, fishing and singing Karaoke.
Bill is survived by his wife, Pauline Mae of rural Frankfort, step-children, Jackie (Billy) Coop of Lebanon, Cyndia Jones of Lebanon, Rocky (Vicki) King of Lafayette, Stony King of Frankfort, sisters, ReBecca Peavey of Georgia, Patricia Perry of Lebanon, brothers, Robert (Janet) McCoy of Frankfort, Richard McCoy of Frankfort, Paul McCoy of California, Gary (Mary) McCoy of Greenfield, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Spurgeon.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2026 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Burial will follow in Kilmore Cemetery.
