WILO’s 12 Strays of Christmas: Meet Boots, a Holiday Miracle in Need of a Home

This holiday season, WILO and the Humane Society of Clinton County are spreading cheer with their 12 Strays of Christmas campaign! Each day features a different adoptable pet in need of a forever home, giving community members a chance to make a furry friend’s holiday wishes come true.

Today’s featured pet is Boots, a medium-sized 58-pound brindle mixed breed dog with a heartwarming comeback story. Boots arrived at the Humane Society after being found left in a hot car — a situation that nearly cost him his life. Thanks to the dedicated care and compassion of the shelter team, Boots made a remarkable recovery and is now thriving.

Boots is an affectionate, resilient, and loyal dog who gets along wonderfully with people and other animals — he just prefers a home without very small pets. Now, he’s ready for a second chance with a loving family who will cherish him forever.

Adopting during the 12 Strays of Christmas is a perfect way to bring holiday joy into your home while giving an animal a new beginning. As part of this special campaign, Boots’ adoption fee is fully sponsored — making this the perfect time to welcome him into your family!

The Humane Society of Clinton County is featuring 46 adorable cats and dogs from December 1–12, all with completely sponsored adoption fees. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to find a loving new companion just in time for the holiday season.

WILO’s 12 Strays of Christmas is proudly sponsored by Day & Genda Funeral Home and T.C. Trailers. Be sure to tune in to WILO each morning to hear more about the Stray of the Day!
