Wind Advisory Set From 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. Sunday

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Wind Advisory for portions of central, east central, north central and west central Indiana, including Boone County, from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday. Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected.

Besides Clinton, other affected areas include Carroll, Clay, Clinton, Delaware, Fountain, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, Vigo and Warren counties.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and damage tents. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Strongest winds are expected during the afternoon hours. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle, Secure outdoor objects.
