Witham Health Services Under Temporary Entry and Visitor Restrictions

Due to the significant rise in viral illness activity in our community, Witham Health Services has updated entry & visitor restrictions. Beginning Wednesday, July 1, the following restrictions will remain in effect until further notice for the safety and well-being of our patients and staff.

● Screenings: Everyone will be screened upon entry using a CDC recommended questionnaire.
● Face coverings: Everyone will still be required to wear a face covering, patients, visitors and employees or the person will risk not being allowed entry.
● Entrances: Patients will only be able to enter through the hospital’s main entrance, North Pavilion A and North Pavilion B entrances during regular business hours Monday through Friday, and the Emergency Room entrance 24/7. All other entrances will be closed until further notice. There will be staff available to help transport and direct patients to other areas of the hospital and building for their appointments.
● Visitor Restrictions have been updated as follows: Area Hours Visitation Specifics/Exceptions Visitor Restrictions:
Inpatient Units 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

NON-COVID19 Rooms
● Two visitors per hospitalized patient

COVID19 Designated Rooms
● No visitors will be admitted except for end of life situations
Extended Care Unit
● No visitors will be admitted with the exception of:
● End of Life care
● Special circumstances
● Outdoor visits

Labor, Delivery and Post-Partum Unit
● One pre-determined support person will be allowed.

Transition Unit

● No visitors allowed, with exception of end of life.

Visitor Restrictions:
● Face coverings must be worn.

● Must remain in the patient’s room during the allowed visiting time.

● Must be 18 years or older.

● Must be symptom-free and screened according to current guidelines and show no signs of fever, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting and loss of smell or taste.

Hotline: The Coronavirus Hotline will be deactivated on July 1. For questions concerning COVID-19 please contact your primary care provider or Witham Convenient Care. Witham Health Services apologizes for the inconvenience these restrictions place on our patients and visitors, however we deem them necessary to protect and provide a safe environment for our immune-compromised patients and our staff.
