At 7:41 a.m. Saturday, Zionsville and Boone County Units responded to 120 N. 9th Street at the Zionsville Christian Church on a report of a subject who pointed a firearm at another subject. No shots were fired. The unknown subject fled the scene and was last seen running north from the church.
Zionsville Police Units were on scene within seconds and immediately started to search the area. A perimeter was established along with officers on foot canvassing the area. Boone County Sheriff Office K-9 and Bloodhound were also called to assist in the search as well as the Zionsville Fire Department with the use of their drone. After speaking to the victim, the suspect was said to be a Hispanic male approximately 5’6-5’7 with a mustache and was last seen wearing grey hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
After an extensive search of the area, the suspect was not located. This is an ongoing investigation and ZPD is requesting anyone with information to contact the Zionsville Police Department or Det. Josh Samuelson at (317) 873-5967.
