Kenneth Wayne Dukes, a lifelong resident of Boone County near Colfax Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 1st at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Glen and Bernice Dukes, of Colfax, and his oldest son Kevin (Teresa) Dukes, of Lafayette.
He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Jane (Holdeman) Dukes, who resides at Homewood Health Campus. He also leaves behind his children Jeff (Shellie) Dukes of Cape Coral,FL, Larry (Brenda) Dukes of Lebanon IN, and Pam (Mike) Mover of Carmel,IN. Additionally, he leaves behind eight grandchildren, Kathryn Dukes, Rob (Paige) Dukes, Mahlie (Jason) Whitaker, Mitch (Samantha) Dukes, Blake Dukes, Amanda Mover, Stephanie Mover, and John Mover; and three great grandchildren, Logan, Parker, and Mason. Special mention is given to Debbie Haughton and Chris Dukes Lasley who helped care for him the last few years.
Kenny retired from Eli Lilly in Lafayette, Indiana, but his lifelong passion was farming near Colfax.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Myers and Hunt Mortuary, 116 West Plum Street, in Thorntown, Indiana.
Graveside Services will follow visitation at the Plainview Cemetery in Colfax, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Colfax United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 277, Colfax, IN 46035 where Kenny was a member and leader most of his adult life.
