According to the United States Postal Service, all post offices will be closed today, Thursday, Jan. 9 for the National Day of Observance to honor former President Jimmy Carter who died on Dec. 29 at the age of 100.
There will be no mail delivery, caller service or post office box service on Jan. 9 for the day of observance. All services will resume on Friday, Jan. 10.
