Doris Jean Davis-Hopwood, 78, of Kirklin, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Milner Community Health Care in Rossville, Indiana. She was born on April 8, 1948, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late John B. and Anna Mae (Martin) Davis.
On November 11, 1983, she married Ronald E. Hopwood, Sr. and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2014.
Doris graduated from Clinton Central High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy at Ivy Tech. She worked at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
She enjoyed cheering for IU and the Indianapolis Colts.
Survivors include her siblings, Robert Davis of Frankfort, Betty Hill of Kokomo and Mary Shank of Tennessee and her beloved cousin, Cathy Plank of Kirklin.
No services will be held. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation.
