Humane Society For Boone County Reduces Adoption Fees For Pitbull Breeds During October’s ‘Pittie Party’

The Friends of The Humane Society for Boone County are celebrating Pitbull Awareness and Adopt a Shelter Dog Month this month by throwing a “Pittie Party” in an effort to increase the number of Pitbull breeds being adopted in the community.

In honor of Pitbull Awareness Month during the month of October, The Humane Society for Boone County has reduced adoption fees for Pitbull breeds and Pitbull mixed breeds. Adoption fees for the month are only $75 for the breeds.

During the month, community members have been encouraged to schedule a meet and greet with Nyx, Nova, Cutie, Alice, Perdita or Mark to find their perfect match and “furever” homes at a lower adoption fee.

All dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested and chipped.
