The Delphi Police Department announced its use of Flock Safety camera alerts to locate a fugitive that was armed and dangerous, culminating in the suspect’s arrest.
The department reported that the cameras alerted officers to a vehicle associated with a fugitive that was wanted on a warrant out of Marion County for alteration of firearm’s identifying marks, unlawful carrying of a handgun, possession of paraphernalia and driving while suspended.
The vehicle was reportedly located and stopped, leading to the arrest of the fugitive on the warrant as well as local charges. The vehicle was reportedly impounded due to driving while suspended, expired plate and no insurance.
The department stated that the Flock camera utilized in the incident was split between the department, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and the Carroll County Prosecutor’s Office.
