Luke Davison scored 16 points and Cole Davison added 12 to lead Clinton Central to a 60-29 non-conference victory over Attica Saturday night in Attica.
The win was the first of the year for the Bulldogs which took control of the game from start with a 10-0 run and only giving up three points in the first quarter to the Red Ramblers. With Central leading 24-11 at halftime, the Bulldogs scored 28 of their 36 second half points inside the three-point line to win going away and limiting Attica to just 18 points in the second stanza.
Lane Davis and Amrin Barrett added six points each for Central, Alex Carreno and Creed Mennen each scored five.
The night before at home, Sheridan raced out to a 12-point lead after a quarter on its way to a 63-48 over the Bulldogs. Cole Davison led Central with 14 points. Davis had 10 and Luke Davison added nine.
Central Girls Keep Rolling
Sara Parkison became Clinton Central’s all-time leading scorer with a game-high 25 points and Carly Davison added 20 to lead the Lady Bulldogs to a 60-34 non-conference victory over Lebanon Monday night in Michigantown.
In the first quarter, Parkison hit a three to become on the top scorer at Central surpassing Kendall Davison, who set the mark in 2021-2022. Her career total was 1,025. Parkison now has 1,040 and counting.
Tri-Central Tops Frankfort Girls
Tri-Central broke open a tight game by outscoring Frankfort 28-15 in the second quarter in a 45-25 girls’ basketball victory Tuesday night at Case Arena.
Vannessa Guardado led FHS with 10 points. Saira Flores and Daizy Santos Rivera each tallied six. Flores led the team in rebounds with nine while Guardado and Evelyn Vasquez-Bautista each had four board.
Defensively, the Hot Dogs forced Tri-Central into 23 turnovers and collecting 14 steals.
