Hazardous Weather Possible Wednesday

The National  Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook on Wednesday for central Indiana, including Boone County.

Thunderstorms are expected at times today into tonight. Severe storms are possible, especially in the 5 p.m. to midnight time frame. Damaging winds, tornadoes and large hail are all possible. Heavy rain is possible with any thunderstorm.

Outside of thunderstorms, winds may guest into the35 to 40 mph range through tonight.

Besides Clinton, other affected counties include Bartholomew, Brown, Carroll, Clay, Clinton, Daviess, Decatur, Delaware, Fountain, Greene, Hancock, Hamilton, Hendricks, Henry, Howard. Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Knox, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Sullivan, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion and Vigo.

Looking ahead, the NWS says wind guests into the 35 to 40 mph are possible on Thursday. Near freezing temperatures are possible over parts of central Indiana Saturday night.
