The Clinton County Commissioners have appointed Kelly Moore as the county’s first Grant Manager. Moore will be responsible for writing, submitting, and monitoring grant applications for all county departments. She started in her new role at the beginning of the year.
A seasoned professional with a master’s degree in human services, Moore brings nine years of experience in the social service field. Having recently served as a Victim Services Coordinator in Clinton County, Moore is excited to transition into the role of Grant Manager. “The job is such a perfect fit,” Moore says. “I look forward to working with each and every department, helping them figure out their goals, encouraging them to dream big, and then finding them the funding they need to do important work.”
Jordan Brewer, President of the Clinton County Commissioners, expressed his excitement about the new addition to the team, stating, “Anytime we have the opportunity to add someone as skilled, personable, and dedicated as Kelly to our team, we want to take full advantage of that. Her enthusiasm to find under the radar funding opportunities will make her a valuable asset to Clinton County for years to come.”
The position of Grant Manager was created in September as part of the County Council’s 2024 budget. “We’re hopeful this position will more than pay for itself and ultimately help reduce overall operating costs by identifying untapped funding sources,” says Council President Alan Dunn. “This position will also help free up time currently spent by our auditor ensuring compliance with grant-funded initiatives.”
