On July 28, 2023, Detectives from the Kokomo Police Department took a report from an investigator for Walmart/Sam’s Club. The investigator reported that he was investigating two brothers and their wives who were defrauding Sam’s Club stores all over the country. The investigator reported the suspects were purchasing jewelry and gift cards with stolen credit cards and then returning the jewelry to other Sam’s Club stores for refunds. The Kokomo Sam’s Club store had refunded over $37,000.00 to these individuals since December 2022.
On September 11, 2023, as a result of the investigation, Howard Circuit Court issued 4 arrest warrants for the suspects and 2 search warrants for their residences in Carmel and Avon Indiana.

Malaika Myla Livers, 29 years old of Carmel Indiana

On September 12, 2023, Detectives from the Kokomo Police Department along with Officers from the Carmel Police Department, Deputies from the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department and Troopers from the Indiana State Police executed the search warrants in Carmel and Avon Indiana. Halton Kai and Aisha Peregrine were taken into custody. Preston Kai and Malaika Livers were not located. Detectives confiscated over $100,000.00 in cash and stolen jewelry from the two residences.
