The Lebanon Police Department announced the graduation of Officer Briana Deckard from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and the certification of Colleen Brandyberry.
Deckard graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy on Friday, Dec. 15 and will continue her field training with the Lebanon Police Department this week to continue her career as a Lebanon Police Department officer. Deckard began her career in law enforcement by joining the Lebanon Police Department Explorer Post before continuing her career as a Corrections Officer with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. Deckard was swiftly welcomed to the Lebanon Police Department upon her graduation from the academy.

The Lebanon Police Department also recently announced that Colleen Brandyberry received the distinguished title of “Certified Senior Crime Scene Analyst” after her hard work to receive the certification to benefit the Lebanon Police Department team. Brandyberry will now be one of only two Certified Senior Crime Scene Analysts in the state of Indiana as she continues her employment with the Lebanon team.

Amidst the introduction of a new police officer and the celebration of accomplishments for a dedicated member of the Lebanon Police Department family, the department began providing a unique opportunity for two Harney Elementary students. The students were treated to a personal adventure with Lebanon Police Department officers on Thursday as they were treated to donuts and a ride to school with the department. The two first-grade students earned the coveted reward at the Harney Elementary fall carnival.
