Ralph F. Robertson, 92, of Thorntown, Indiana, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Witham Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 30, 1931, in Frankfort, Indiana, a son of the late Ermon and Beatrice (Corwin) Robertson.
On May 15, 1971, he was married to Janice (Fidler) Robertson in Clarks Hill, Indiana; she survives.
Ralph was a graduate of Clarks Hill High School. He worked various jobs throughout his life such as farming, driving a semi, T.V. repair, and he owned and operated Ralph’s Gun Shop of Thorntown. Ralph was a member of the Conservation Clubs in Linden and Garfield.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Ralph had many hobbies including fishing, gardening, and oil painting. He was a self-taught guitar player. He had a passion for racing and was an avid Indianapolis 500 and NASCAR fan. Ralph was a collector of guns. He loved shooting clay pigeons and was hard to beat! He was known to root for Purdue Basketball and the Chicago Cubs.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Robertson of Thorntown; children, Jeff (Jane) Robertson of Lafayette, Amy (Brandon) Beesley of Thorntown, and Beth Robertson of Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Eric Robertson, Kyle (Christa) Robertson, Tayler (Ethan) Miller, and Emily Toney; and great grandchildren, Carter Miller, Preston and Harlow Robertson.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by brothers, Daniel Robertson and Kenneth Robertson, and sister, Phyllis Robertson.
Funeral Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Interment will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown, Indiana.
Memorials may be directed in his memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
