Rossville Has Three Players in Double Figures in Win Against North White

Charlie Thompson led three players in double figures with 16 points to lead Rossville to a 50-35 non-conference boys’ basketball victory over North White Saturday night in Rossville.

Caden Wilson also reached double figures with 15 points and Brayden Thiele-Hahn was next with 12. Brody Skinner led the Hornets with eight rebounds and Thompson added seven boards. Thompson and Cooper Dunn led the team in assists with three each.

Rossville jumped out to a 10-point lead after a quarter and stayed comfortably ahead the remainder of the game.

On the road Friday night, the Hornets jumped out to a 20-9 lead after one quarter and rolled to a 62-39 victory over Tri-County.

Wilson led Rossville with 24 points. Thompson tallied 14 and Thiele-Hahn added 13. Wilson grabbed a team-high nine rebounds while Thompson and Dunn both had a team-high four assists.

Clinton Central Boys Fall

Madison-Grant outscored Clinton Central 23-6 in the third quarter on its way to a 78-63 non-conference victory over the Bulldogs Saturday night.

Central grabbed a three-point lead after one quarter and still led 34-32 at intermission.

Lane Davis led Central with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Creed Mennen also reached double figures with 14 points, Cole Davison added 10 and Luke Davison had nine.

Friday night at Michigantown, Fountain Central jumped out to a 22-point halftime lead and rolled to a 76-46 victory.

Luke Davison and Lane Davis led Central with 12 points each. Nate Wells added six.

FHS Girls’ Swimmers Down Southmont

Tuesday night at Southmont, the girls team pulled off a victory beating Southmont 93-75. Unfortunately the boys lost to the Mounties, however it was a hard fought meet losing 87-71. Both teams swam incredibly well dropping 24 different times. Soraya Valencia, Madison Campbell, Giselle Figueroa, Alea David. Yareny Martinez, Jesus Mejia Mora, Max Whitlock, Krislyn Shipley, Dalys Garcia-Martinez, Daphne Santos, Natalia Hernandez, Devin Jagger, Brian Nicacio, Jersey Spencer and Hadley Gallichan.
FHS Wrestlers Winless at WeBo Duals
Hot Dog wrestling were in action on Saturday at the WeBo Duals.  Dogs found individual success despite going 0-5 as a team. Going 4-1 on the day were Leo Roa and Miguel Hernandez. Going 3-2 were Daniel Martinez,  Uriel Cobb, and Chris Rascon. Dogs have shown a lot of improvement.
Central Girls Down Culver Academies
Central outscored Culver Academies 21-4 in the second quarter and rolled to a 55-24 victory over Culver Saturday.
Carly Davison led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 19 points. Sara Parkinson added 18.
Frankfort Girls Fall to Faith Christian
Faith Christian defeated Frankfort 64-21 Tuesday night in Lafayette.
Saira Flores led FHS in scoring with seven points. Vannessa Guardado added six.
Rossville Girls Lose to Lewis Cass
Lewis Cass outscored Rossville 28-5 in the middle two quarters en route to a 42-17 victory Tuesday night in Rossville.
Allie Elliott led Rossville with nine points. Addi Gobett had a team-high nine rebounds and Ava Burkle added eight boards.
