Suncrest Elementary School announced the winner of the recognition for Suncrest Elementary

Teacher of the Year.
Suncrest announced that Vickie Vestey, a first grade teacher at Suncrest, has been chosen as the Suncrest Teacher of the Year for the 2023-2024 school year. Vestey was described as an experienced and passionate educator who has been within the educational realm for 25 years, and staff expressed that the impact she has on her students is palpable, stating that the school is lucky to have her on staff.
Vestey’s impact extends beyond the classroom as she has also established an impact with fellow educators who appreciate her efforts, such as Suncrest third grade teacher Tammy Wright.
”One of the best classroom neighbors that I have ever had,” Wright wrote. “You rock, Mrs. Vestey. Any child that has had the pleasure of having you as a teacher is lucky.”
Vestey was surprised with the honor as she received a bouquet of flowers as a gift for her continued Hot Dog excellence.
