The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the ramp from U.S. 52 southbound to I-65 southbound, near Lebanon, will close nightly on or after Monday, July 11 for ongoing work on the added travel lanes project. The closure will last from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. until Wednesday, July 13, weather permitting. Crews will be placing temporary pavement for ‘Phase Three’ of this project, and also moving the barrier wall.
The official detour follows U.S. 52 southbound to State Road 47 east to S.R. 39 southbound to I-65 southbound.
This project was awarded to E & B Paving, LLC for $83.7 million. It also includes bridge work on I-65 approximately 0.20 miles north of U.S. 52, along with a bridge removal approximately 1.23 miles north of S.R. 32. It also includes various culvert replacements and drainage work along I-65. The entire project is expected to be completed in May of 2023.
