Whitestown Police Investigating Head-On Collision Sunday Morning

At approximately 7:13 a.m. Sunday, officers with the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department responded to a rollover vehicle collision with injury involving two vehicles, in the 6800 block of Albert S. White Drive.

Upon arriving, officers located one driver walking around near the site of the crash, and the second driver trapped in their vehicle. Both drivers were the sole occupants of their respective vehicles. WMPD officers rendered medical aid, meanwhile Whitestown Fire Department/EMS along with Zionsville Fire Department/EMS extricated the second driver from the vehicle and began treating the injuries sustained. Both drivers were transported to area hospitals for serious injuries. Preliminary investigation determined this was a head on collision.

The Boone County Fatal Alcohol Crash team is completing an investigation of the accident. Alcohol is considered a contributing factor at this time. Due to the sensitive nature of this crash, the injuries sustained to the drivers, and its ongoing investigation, the identity of the drivers will be released at a later time.
