The Boone County Solid Waste Management District 2025 Reuse Heart and Sole Shoe Collection is set to conclude today, Feb. 18 as a means of redistributing shoes to those in need within the community and combatting shoe waste in landfills.

- Subaru Plants in Lebanon and Whitestown
- Lebanon Elks
- Athletico in Lebanon
- Central Christian Church
- Boone County Mibor Offices
- Witham Family YMCA
- State Bank in Lebanon and Anson
- Five Thirty Home
- Anytime Fitness
- Western Boone High School
- Thorntown Elementary
- Central Elementary
- Perry Worth Elementary
- Union Elementary
- Presbyterian Preschool
All types of shoes will be collected. Donors are asked to tie the laced shoes together. All donations will be sorted by the non-profit Changing Footprints. Pairs in reusable condition will be redistributed to those in need and tennis shoes that are unusable will be recycled.
The collection will conclude today, Feb. 18.
