Frankfort Emergency Personnel Rescue Individual from Frankfort Lagoons

UPDATE

Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an incident that occurred yesterday and left one person in critical condition after a vehicle was driven into a pond in Frankfort.

Just before 5 p.m., local authorities responded to a call of a vehicle being driven into a pond at the Frankfort Lagoons and becoming submerged.

Upon arrival, the driver, Maria Lopez, 49, of Frankfort, was removed from the vehicle by the Frankfort Fire Department. The passenger, Leonidas Siles, 53, of Frankfort, reached safety on his own.
