Judith “Judy” Crum, 79, of Michigantown, Ind., died August 5, 2024 at Milner Community Healthcare. She was born July 8, 1945 in Clinton County, Ind. to Glenn A. Harshbarger and Emmagene (Huffer) Aitkens Zarifis. She married Don Lewis Crum on October 12, 1965 at the Union Baptist Church in Forest and he preceded her in death on December 5, 2008.
Judy was a 1963 graduate of Clinton Central High School and was a lifetime Clinton County resident. She had worked at Federal Mogul from 1972-2005, retiring after 33 years. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church, where she was a youth group advisor, Sunday school teacher and recording secretary. Judy was also a member of the Local 1949 U.A.W., where she was past financial secretary, a member of the Moose Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for 3-5 years. She enjoyed camping and loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her daughters: Laura Kay Reed of Rossville, Carolyn Sue (David) McBride of Moran, Christina Lynn Kersey of Rossville, sisters: Beverly (Joe) Harmon of Kokomo, Janice (Byron) Wolfe of Rossville, 3 half-sisters and 1 half-brother, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, sister, Betty Christine, brother, William Harshbarger and son-in-law, Gary Kersey.
Funeral Services:
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 16th at the funeral home.
