Several area football players have received post-season recognition by the Indiana Football Coaches Association who have released their All-State Team for all six classes plus a statewide All-Academic Team.
For the Class 1A Senior All-State Team for this year, four players were named on the offensive side of the ball including Levi Ostler from Clinton Prairie (offensive lineman), Keegan Ellis of Carroll (running back), Eli Kolb from Sheridan (running back) and Joe Franco from Sheridan (AT-L).
On the defensive side in Class 1A, there were three individuals named including Dominic Barnes from Carroll (linebacker), Zach Bales of Sheridan (linebacker) and Griffin Viney from Carroll (defensive back).
On the Class 1A Junior All-State Team, three individuals were chosen including Levi Watkins from Carroll (offensive lineman), Owen Bell of Sheridan (kicker) and Coy Lytle of Carroll (defensive back).
The Class 4A Junior All-State Team had two individuals named to that team including Matthew McKitrick of Western (running back) and Kaden Lark 0f Lebanon (defensive back).
Also making the All-Academic Team was Western Boone senior Cannon Brunes (linebacker).
