Frankfort Police Release First Quarter Crim Report

The Frankfort Police Department released its first quarter crime report that showcases a reduction in crime and an increase in warnings and citations.

The department reported that overall crime, based on the Uniform Crime Report, is down 26% compared to the first quarter, spanning January through March, last year.

The department stated that during the same quarter last year, there were three violent crimes reported to the National Incident Based Reporting System, but this year saw only one violent crime incident that was investigated during the first quarter.

The department stated that while traffic enforcement has increased, traffic crashes are slightly increased as well. Injuries from crashes are also up so far in 2025. The department issued a reminder for drivers to slow down and be aware of their surroundings.
